APO, FPO & DPO
Military and diplomatic mail moves through the USPS network to a military post office overseas, then onward through the unit or the ship. It costs the same as domestic postage — but it is its own animal, and the address has to be exact. Enter it at checkout exactly as shown.

- In the City field at checkout put APO, FPO or DPO — never the overseas city.
- In the State field put AA (Americas), AE (Europe, Middle East, Africa, Canada) or AP (Pacific).
- Leave the country as United States. Changing it pushes the parcel into the international network and stalls it.
- Include the unit and box, PSC and box, or the ship name with its hull number — exactly as the recipient gives it to you.
- It has to go to a named person. Mail addressed to "Any Service Member" has not been accepted since 2001.
- Once a parcel enters the military postal system, no carrier will commit to a delivery date. We will not promise you one we cannot control.
- We send coffee whole bean or ground, sealed and shelf-stable. A small number of destinations restrict certain goods — if yours does, we will tell you before it ships.
